BRABOURNE PARISH COUNCIL

Brabourne Parish Council consists of a Chairman, Vice Chairman and 5 Councillors.

The full Parish Council usually meets once every two months. The meetings are open to parishioners and members of the public, when they are given the opportunity to raise any matters with the Council.

The parish holds an Annual Parish Meeting between March and May (generally May). At this meeting the council reports on the news and activities of the past year. The meeting is followed by the Annual General Meeting, at which the Chairman and Vice Chairman are elected. Parishioners, again, may raise any matters of concern or interest to them.

Ad Hoc Parish Meetings may also be held from time to time to address specific issues.

Brabourne Parish Council operates a non-party political basis with each Councillor voting solely according to his or her conscience. No Councillor receives any payment. The Parish Council has adopted both the National Code of Conduct and the Freedom of Information Act.
